USAA Anchors Multi-Year Partnership as Presenting Sponsor of the Secretaries' Cup

Honoring tradition and investing in the future of service-academy athletics, USAA has partnered with the United States Coast Guard Academy and the United States Merchant Marine Academy to return as presenting sponsor of the Secretaries' Cup. The multi-year agreement brings renewed energy and support to one of the most respected rivalries in college sports.
The partnership comes at a historic time for the Cup following last year's game at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, and this year's matchup taking place Saturday, Nov. 14 in our nation's capital at Audi Field, home of the D.C. United soccer club and NWSL Washington Spirit.
"USAA is proud to return as presenting sponsor of this storied rivalry between two academies whose cadets and midshipmen will soon lead our Coast Guard and Merchant Marine," said Chris Curtin, Chief Marketing Officer at USAA. "With the game taking place in our nation's capital during America's 250th anniversary and the Coast Guard Academy's 150th, there is no more fitting stage to celebrate the character and leadership of these future officers."
USAA, among the leading financial services companies for the military, veterans and their families, provides the opportunity for the Secretaries' Cup to continue to grow. The game is an opportunity to showcase at a national stage, the mission and student-athletes of both federal service academies. Last year, more than 10,000 fans attended the game at Fenway Park which set a record for the Secretaries' Cup.
"We are proud to welcome USAA as the Presenting Sponsor of the Secretaries' Cup for the 2026 and 2027 seasons," said Coast Guard Academy Athletic Director Dr. Dan Rose. "The Secretaries' Cup represents much more than a football game. It is a celebration of the longstanding rivalry, shared traditions, and commitment to service that unite the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. USAA's unwavering support of the military and service communities makes them an outstanding partner for this historic matchup. We are grateful for their investment in this special event and look forward to working together to enhance the experience for our cadets, alumni, families, and fans while honoring the values that define both of our institutions."
"We are excited to welcome USAA as the Presenting Partner of the Secretaries' Cup for 2026 and 2027," said United States Merchant Marine Academy Athletic Director Kristofer Schnatz. "USAA understands the values and traditions that make this rivalry so special, and their support gives us an opportunity to build on the tremendous momentum of the event. As we take the Secretaries' Cup to new venues and new audiences, this partnership will help us continue to grow the game while showcasing our Midshipmen, Cadets, Alumni, and the shared commitment to service and leadership that connects our two academies."
